Malaga to Yunquera

Hi Jo

I need to get to the town of Yunquera, 54km fromMalaga Aairport.

Are there any buses from the airport?
Booking a transfer would cost $250, so would rather find a cheaper option!

Thanks for any advise you can provide!

Hi L

Sorry for delay.
After lots of searching we have found this bus company in Andalucia and timetables for how to get from Malaga Bus Station to Yunquera

Buses are generally good value.

Be great to hear how you get on.

Good luck

Joanne

Digital Camera in Hand Luggage

Hi

Can a digital camera be included as hand luggage or does it have to go in a case in the hold

Thanks

My Reply...

Hi P

You really need to contact the airline you are flying with. They were all allowing different items.

From next month it should all be back to normal.

If flying to Malaga, and you have to put your camera in the hold...make sure you are fully insured. Many items have recently been stolen.

Malaga Port to Malaga Airport

Hi Jo

I will arrive at Malaga Port at 9am.

I don't fly out until 8pm what can I do all day with luggage, is it safe to leave it.
How far is Malaga Airport from Malaga Port?

Thank you

C

My Reply...

Hi C

There is no left luggage department at Malaga. There is at some other airports like Madrid but not here.

I really dont know what you can do. Could you leave it at the Hotel or where you were staying maybe?

Hopefully if enough people ask if there is one, maybe eventually they will put one there.Regards

Malaga Port to Malaga Airport is about 10 mins drive...no traffic.

Smoking at Malaga Airport

Hi
Can you tell me if there are smoking areas in malaga airport.

Thanks

My Reply...

Hi M

From what I remember when I flew a couple of months ago, there are smoking points around the airport. You will see a smoking sign and a small square area where you have to stand.

My husband just came back from the Uk and said that now there are actual smoking rooms around the airport.

More Lost Luggage travelling from Malaga Airport

Hi Jo,

I have been back from a holiday to the Costa Del Sol 4 weeks tomorrow and still havent had one of our suitcases returned.

First Choice have informed me that Malaga Airport are very slow in answering emails. Last friday i was told by Manchester Airport that Malaga Airport had sent it on an Easyjet Flight to Liverpool, Liverpool Airport havent got the case and now Malaga dont know were they have sent it.

They are a joke

My Reply...

Hi N,

What a palavar! Im not surprised though to be honest. There have been numerous problems at Malaga Airport including items being stolen from suitcases.

All I can say is just keep pestering and calling. They will not call you! I hope you receive your stuff soon and it would be great if you could let us know what happened so we can post it up on the message board for other people who have the same problem.

Restrictions at Malaga Airport

Hi Jo
My question is about travelling out of Malaga airport.

I have heard a lot about the restrictions for travelling from the UK. No liquids, no duty free etc. does the same thing apply when you are travelling to the UK from Malaga.

I am flying in October and want to take Christmas presents of wine and olive oil. Is there a way that they can be taken as cargo if I am not allowed to take them on the plane. I don´t want to put them in a suitcase as I would prefer not to find a case full of marinade. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thank

Y

My Reply...

Hi Y

October is quite a few weeks away. The restrictions have already been lifted a bit and hopefully by October it will have changed again. So I would wait a little longer to see whether you will be able to take it on board. The restrictions are down to the inidividual airlines...for example, some allow liquids and not electronic items and vise versa.

The number for Aena (airports) is 902 404 704. The operators do speak English so maybe give them a call to ask about Cargo.
