Costa Del Sol

There is so much to do here on the Costa Del Sol. Some people think they may be a little bored laying in the sun by the pool, but there really is something for everyone here. When we used to come on holiday we used to go out first thing in the morning and explore some different towns and areas and then chill by the pool in the afternoon.

Some other people we know rented an apartment in puerto banus for 2 weeks but used it as a base and hired a car and went out every day to different places: even staying overnight occasionally.

We have written about our personal trips, day trips and weekends away around Andalucia. All trips are within 2 to 3 hours away from Malaga Airport.

There are tiny little pueblos and fantastic cities to visit and driving through some of the most amazing scenery you have ever seen.

Antequera

Castellar
A day trip, about 1 hour 45 minutes from Malaga Airport direction of Algeciras. An amazing place where people still live. The original Castellar.

Cordoba
Just a two hour drive from Malaga Airport. A fantastic City full of History. The Mosque / Cathedral is a must, one of the most amazing places I have seen.

Gibraltar
Gibraltar is a 90 minute drive from Malaga Airport, fantastic amount of History and strange leaving Spain and entering little Britain!

Grazalema
A beautiful area in the countryside, about 2 to 2.5 hours from Malaga Airport.

Istan
A beautiful Spanish Village just 25 minutes from Marbella but you feel a million miles away.

Malaga City
Malaga City is a great City, full of life, art & culture, history and shopping. Can get the train directly in from Airport.

Monda
A little place with a castle called Monda Castle. A small town just 40 minutes from Malaga Airport.

Ronda
Ronda is a beautiful Town high up a mountain, 90 minute drive from Malaga Airport.
