Marbella Hotels

To make a recommendation for a Marbella Hotel was always going to be difficult and I have tried to be objective with the hotels listed.

They have all been visited by us, family or friends and we are reflecting both their views and ours.

We have just purchased a new apartment that we are offering out for holiday rentals. The apartment is 1km from Puerto Banus in complex called La Maestranza and we have some great rental deals on offer.

This hotel is right in the middle of Marbella with one entrance in Marbella Old Town and the other on Ricardo Soriano Marbella which faces the sea. It really is a fantastic location.

Hotel San Cristobal has 96 rooms over 6 floors all with ensuite bathrooms. The hotel also offers private parking near the hotel, restaurant with exquisite views, modern bar-salon with WIFI, conference and meeting rooms with WIFI, and is right in the heart of Marbella Shopping.

I choose this hotel because it is one of the largest in the area, has both an indoor and outdoor pool along with a gym and all the other facilities that you would expect from a large four star hotel. There is also a Casino in the hotel.

The drawback with the hotel is that it is beside the busy N340 road and if must, insist that you have a room away from the road noise.

The Hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the marina in Puerto Banus and the hotel have built a tunnel under the main road for you to walk through. The beach is less than 5 minutes away and there is a busy taxi rank at the Hotel. Small childrens play area.

A wonderful setting with its own private beach club, I stayed here a few years ago and was impressed with my room, the setting and the hotel.

From here you can walk along the beach to Puerto Banus (15mins) or have a wonderful morning walk (5kms) into Marbella.

The Room I stayed in was very well furnished with a seating area and large terrace.

If you stay here ask for a west facing room if you want evening sun and make sure that you room is away from the main road.

The only drawbacks that I had with this hotel was that you had to wait ages for a taxi to come along, unlike some of the other hotels there isn't a taxi rank here and sometimes we waited 20 mins for a taxi! One other small point if you are coming here in the cooler months is that there is not an indoor pool. In the gardens is a small childrens play area.

Studio and One bedroom apartments with Hotel facilities and located right in the heart of Puerto Banus.

We were quite impressed when a friend of ours stayed here recently, the apartments are a little dated but are a good size and the studios can sleep three people with ease.

For somewhere in the heart of Puerto Banus the prices are really good and you do not need a car if you don't fancy driving.

Make sure that you get a room a way from the N340 (main road)!

One of the original Marbella Hotels and is still in one of the best locations. The Hotel Fuerte is a few minutes walk from Marbella Old town and right on the beach.

The facilities are excellent and the Hotel has it's own sports center which is free to guests.

If your hiring a car parking is on offer but you have to pay, the hotel can also organise all your golf and sightseeing breaks

Although not technically in Marbella I put this hotel in because I like the facilities and the beach club set up.

The hotel is actually about 15 kms from Marbella Town and 6kms from Puerto Banus, just past San Pedro.

The outdoor pool is huge and there is a separate kiddies pool on the beach which is handy when the sea is rough!

The Marbella Club is the original "Marbella Hotel" and comprises of a series of low rise buildings that head down towards the sea.

The restaurants are all excellent, the beach club is one of the best but the location means that you need to take a taxi into Marbella or Puerto Banus (only 5 mins).

The prices aren't for the faint hearted but the facilities and service are still amongst the best on the Costa Del Sol

I really like the Puente Romano, it is one of the few hotels in Marbella that is busy throughout the year. Apart from fantastic rooms and grounds the hotel has it's own nightclub "Suite" which is indoors in the winter and down besides the beach in the summer. This is one of the places to be seen!

For the less energetic the beach club is great and the hotel is right on the promenade that links Marbella to Puerto Banus.

During the summer the Hotel also host International tennis tournaments and concerts

I have added this Hotel because i like staying at Melia Hotels and this hotel is in a great location.

It's in Marbella Town and on the beach! It is also beside the main marble promenade that links Marbella and Puerto Banus
