Malaga Airport Terminal 3 Arrivals Hall

Malaga Airport is the fourth busiest airport in Spain handling 11,622,443 passengers and operating 103,536 flights in 2009.

If for any reason the arrivals information is not working or you cannot find details of the specific flight that you are looking for then you can telephone the airport on +34 952 048 484.

There are actually three terminals at Malaga Airport which are connected by travelators and just a few minutes walk from each other, but if you have a lot of luggage to transport or suffer from walking difficulties there is a courtesy shuttle bus which runs every 20 minutes from outside both arrivals halls.

When you land at Malaga Airport you are directed into the new Terminal 3.  Make sure you follow the signs and go down the escalators to the baggage reclaim (even if you only have hand luggage) as this is also the way out of the terminal and where the bus stops and taxi rank are.  If you carry on without going down the escalators you will meet passengers who are coming through security and there is no way out.

Once you have cleared passport control you need to take the escalators down to the baggage reclaim hall where there are 11 baggage carousels (9 European Union and 2 non-European Union) and one special baggage reclaim carousel.

The new automated baggage handling system will be able to handle 7,500 cases per hour, with an approximate processing time of 3 minutes.

Make sure you follow the signs and go down the escalators to the baggage reclaim (even if you only have hand luggage) as this is also the way out of the terminal and where the bus stops and taxi rank are.

Transport from the Arrivals Hall at Malaga Airport Terminal 3

NB: If you are hired a car from Malaga Airport the car rental desks are still located in the Terminal 1 extension or on the lower level of Terminal 2.

If you have arranged a private transfer from Malaga Airport or are being met by someone, then go through theTerminal 3 baggage hall and head out through the doors into the public area where they can wait for you.

After you have collected your luggage from the carousel head out into the public arrivals hall you will see a forecourt where the Malaga Airport Taxis and Malaga Airport Buses are waiting.

There is transportation hub which links the new Terminal 3, bus station, pedestrian access to P1 and P2 and suburban train station.

Lifts and mechanical ramps provide access to the transportation hub's Arrivals and Departures levels. From arrivals you enter a large square (atrium) over the bus station and the terminal arrivals floor.

At the Departures level lifts connect to the terminal via air bridges that link up with the car parks.

The train will continue to stop at its old platform with access via the pedestrian walkway that links car parks P1 and P2 with the transportation hub and T3.

The new train station which will be accessible from the T3 transportation hub comes into operation at the end of 2010.
