Information about the Departures Halls at Malaga Airport

There are two departures halls at Malaga Airport. The main one is on the first floor of Terminal 2 (above the arrivals hall) as this has 65 check in counters (numbered 201-265) which handle most of the flights.

Trolleys are free and generally the queues at the check in desks are not that bad, but during the high season in the summer you might have to wait a bit. With the tighter security regulations it is advisable to get to the airport at least two hours before your scheduled departure time.

The main departures hall is on the upper level of Malaga Airport. If you are arriving by taxi or private Malaga Airport transfers, then you will be dropped on this level.

If you are arriving by Malaga Airport train then you will need to cross the main road via the large metal footbridge and walk through the car park to the terminal.
