Estepona Shopping

Estepona Shopping

shopping in EsteponaEstepona for shopping? Well it depends on what you need to get to be honest. In Estepona itself, meaning Estepona Town Area then there are a number of shops, but the only big high street shops that are there is Mango and Charanga for kids. There are a few others too that you will find in other Spanish High Streets.

But in the Town there are a lot of cheap shoe shops, small individual clothes shops, quite a lot of what I call bits and bobs shops. There are lots of cafes around too which gives Estepona a really nice feel. Although I don't go there for the shopping, I really do love walking around Estepona.

If you are looking to do a big food shop then there is Carrefour which is near the Palacio de Congresos. Carrefour sells everything, a bit like Hipercor in El Corte Ingles in Puerto Banus. Lots of choice of food, videos, dvds, tvs, cds, clothes for men, women, children and babies, toys ....everything you could think off. Also in the complex where Carrefour is are a few other shops like jewellery shops, electronics, sunglasses shops etc.

In the town there are a couple of Mercadona Supermarkets too. Around the old town in the narrow streets you will also find fresh fruit stalls and little shops selling bits and pieces, there is also a shop that makes shoes from scratch!

If you are looking for a bit of a designer shop in Estepona, then Id say take a short drive to Laguna Village where there are a number of shops like Elle Morgan, Cavalli, Boss and a few others that sell a number of different labels.

Estepona Markets

Estepona marketOn Wednesdays there is a big market in Estepona. Its by the large football stadium near the industrial park (Poligno). Sells lots of bits, clothing, belts, bags, fruit & veg.

On Sunday Mornings there is a smaller market along the Port of Estepona which sells the usual Bags, Jewellery, Belts, Toys. Nice atmosphere there though maybe cause its not too big unlike the Estepona Market on Wednesdays and Puerto Banus Market or San Pedro.

So if you are just going to be browsing then Estepona is lovely, if you really need to get something for the weekend then Id try one of the other many shopping places along the Costa Del Sol like below.
