Nightlife in Estepona on the Costa Del Sol

Estepona nightclubsEstepona offers a very different form of nightlife from the glitzy nearby Puerto Banus with plenty to do here - especially during the summer months - when you will find entertainment ranging from karaoke bars and discos to Celtic music and flamenco shows.

Entrance to many of the clubs is free but drinks tend to be over priced. Casual dress is the norm, but be warned that some clubs ban trainers.

Night Life in Estepona Old Town

clubs in EsteponaMost of the nightlife takes place in the port area and in the back streets of Estepona's Old Town.

Most of the music bars and restaurants stay open until the small hours and the back streets of the Old Town are full of bars and clubs, particularly in the Plaza de los Flores (Flower Square) area. Late night music bars here include Melodie Cool in Calle Real. This is a favourite with the young set as they warm up here before heading off to the all night clubs.

La Bulla in Avenida España, Bar 97 in Calle Caridad, Bar Kronen and Bar Tolones in Calle Real are also popular places for young people on the warm summer nights. Bar Tolones is a cocktail lounge with extra seating outside as it gets packed being the perfect place to enjoy drinks before or after dinner.

There are several clubs including Nigara in Calle Juan Carlos II and Milonga, which is a smaller disco in Calle Caridad and which stays open till 06:00.

El Duende is a trendy flamenco bar playing Spanish music. It gets busy at weekends and opens as a nightclub late in the evening.

If you like country and western music and line dancing then head for Sharky's Beach Shack on the sea front.

Plato68 Disco Estepona on Avda. Juan Carlos 1 is open every Friday and Saturday night from midnight until 07:00. . They feature guest DJs and also offer limousine hire if you want to arrive in style for your big night out. You can also reserve a VIP area. La Bulla on Calle Real is a loud and vibrant Spanish drinking and music venue. A good place start off from for your night out.

Entertainment at the Port in Estepona

O'Donoghues Irish Bar EsteponaAt the port you will plenty of quayside bars and clubs which stay open all night during the high season. Renaldo's is at the entrance to the port and is one of the most popular meeting places. Several bars have karaoke evenings and Chico Diez and the XL Pub are two of the trendiest places there.

For somewhere a bit quieter try Attico which is a very popular nightclub playing mainstream Spanish and European music. It is slightly pricier than many others in the port and has a large terrace designed like a tropical garden which can be used all year round.

Peoples is a chilled out and popular bar with typical Spanish music which is located near Attico. Bottled beer is available but none on tap. It is small inside but has a large terrace to enjoy the summer evenings.

O’Donoghues Irish Pub is one of the largest bars in the port with a quiz night every , Wednesday and regular music nights. During the high season it is open from early evening until 05:00 and tends to be at it is busiest between 20:00-23:00.

La Bomba is close to O'Donoghues and is a small South American bar playing Latin music with regular live music nights. It is a favourite with the local and opens late and closes in the early hours.
