It is signposted from the N340 exit 222.From Nueva Andalucia/Puerto Banus it takes around 40 minutes to drive there. You can drive on the Coast Road N340 or the Toll. We prefer to take the toll, as its a much safer road to drive on. When we arrived it there was lots of parking which was attended, and you give €1 payment to the attendant

There are also a couple of other tickets you can buy which aren't very clear. You can buy one for each person, which allows you to go to all 3 Selwo Parks. Aventura, Marina and Telecabina but just once. Its around €33.00 Adult and €23.00 a child.

Or you can pay €53 per person which allows you to go to all three parks when ever you wish from January through to December 31st. You need a NIE number to qualify for this pass which you can apply for at Selwo Estepona or Benalmadena, but have to collect it around 15 days afterwards at Benalmadena.

All other months from 10:00 to 18:00, 10:00 to 20:00, 10:00 to 21:00. During the really quiet months it closes altogether. It's best to either check their website or give them a call on 902 190482 to avoid disappointment. Website: www.selwomarina.com

We arrived at 6:00 pm - any earlier during the day would just be too hot for us. We were just in time for the Dolphin Show which was really good. The staff swam with the dolphins and the dolphins did numerous jumps and exercises to loud up tempo music. The pool is amazing and you can see right to the bottom. This show lasted around 30 minutes and was really good fun to watch. Everything is explained in English and Spanish.

Then there was another show with Scorpions and other little creepy crawlies which wasn't for us at all.

We arrived too late for the feeding of the Penguins which is in quite a small area inside where you have to stand. So if you want to see this show then arrive 15 minutes before it's due to start.

We grabbed something to eat at the little fast food restaurant where my 5 year old daughter had her face painted by staff who were sitting at the restaurant keeping the kids amused.

The last show that we went to see was the Sea Lions which was also very good fun and really enjoyable to watch. Our little girl who was2 1/2 at the time absolutely loved it and had the ability to really sit and watch all the shows.

It was a good afternoon out, but you do need to go to see all the shows as there aren't many other things to look at.

There is also an amazing play area for older children and a 3D Cinema. You can also swim with the dolphins if you wish and have your pictures taken with them and the sea lions.

When you leave Selwo Marina, have a look at Paloma Park Opposite - its fantastic, one of the best parks we have been too. The animals are all running around freely, it has some good cafes and a great kids' playground and lake with ducks - so don't forget the bread.

We have been quite a few times since our last visit as we have the annual pass. If you get there too early then you do get to see many of the shows. If you plan to get there around lunch time or certain other times, we find there's not really much to do. So do call and look at the website before you go and check times of shows. Otherwise you may be a bit disappointed.
