Getting to Gibraltar from Malaga Airport
Hi
Some friends of mine have just moved to Gibraltar. As I'm from Yorkshire, getting to Luton or Gatwick to fly direct is a bit of a pain. Is there an easy way of getting to Gibraltar/La Linea from Malaga?
I like the site, btw, nice clear layout.
Thanks

Hi Ian,
Great to have a nice comment about the site...thank you.
From Malaga Airport to Gibraltar (outside in La Linea) is around 120 km. About 1hour and 30 minutes drive. The best option and quickest would be to hire a car.
Here is the link for the bus company here in Spain from Malaga Bus Station to all other places including La Linea (Bus Timetable).
It does look like there is a bus from Malaga Bus Station to La Linea. It takes around 3 hours and costs around 10euros which is really cheap. You need to get from Malaga Airport to Malaga Bus Station though.
Another option would be to get the fast bus from Malaga Airport direct to Marbella Bus Station costs around 4 euros and then pick up a bus from there to La Linea.
Unfortunately, there is no train line. The train from Malaga Airport stops at Fuengirola and the airport bus stops at Marbella Bus Station.
This is a private transfer company but a return journey is working out around 180 pounds.
Shuttle Direct
From next March, Ryan Air is flying from Manchester to Jerez Airport which is about the same distance as Malaga, but flights can be really cheap. You can look at the bus website and check out buses from Jerez.
Hope this is of use.

Hi
Last Wednesday I travelled from Malaga to Brussels with Virgin. I seem to have lost my sunglasses in the airport (B). They are very precious to me and I wondered if there was any possible way of trying to find them. I'm sure I didn't leave it on the plane. Thanks, Ans
