Driving from Algeciras to Malaga Airport
Hi Jo
I have a question - i am hiring a car in Algeciras at the port there and driving up to Malaga to pick up my boyfriend - how long do you think it will take to drive? and is it easy to drive on the roads? and which road should i take?
Also i'm coming from Australia - do i need to have an international driving permit?

Malaga to Algeciras is probably about 90mins Drive. Its just 1 straight road N340. You Can go by Toll Road which is a nicer straighter road and there are signs to join. It ends at Benalmadena when it rejoins the N340 to get to the Malaga Airport.
Regarding the Driving Permit, Im not too sure, just make sure you bring it and maybe make a copy. You could always post a question on www.britishexpats.com
